Choose from the following Science Topics, which give a description of some of the experiments that we will be doing! Parties will be tailor made to suit the age range and ability of the guests. At the end of each party there will be some free time for guests to repeat their favourite experiments, ask questions and to play with a range of our scientific toys.

Learn how the components of electrical circuits work and use that knowledge to build different models.

A fast paced journey of discovery; great for inquisitive minds!

Children find out what components are needed to get a light bulb or motor to work in a circuit. Then switches are added, and different means of controlling the brightness of a bulb/speed of a motor are investigated.

Guests work out how to make a steady hand detector. They then build one, and get to work out who is the calmest person at the party as they try each others games out (normally the parent host does not do well!) Their steady hand detector can then be taken home! (so no party bag is required!)

Alternately quiz boards, conductivity bugs, lighthouses or games of “operation” can be made.

Due to the complete hands on nature requirements of this party, numbers are restricted to 10! This party is only suitable for children of 8 years and over.

Intriguing Experiments with light, colour, shadows and mirrors. Action packed and full of great visual effects!

Explore how we see and how our eyes can be fooled!

Find out how a kaleidoscope and a periscope works and then make your own! Again these can be brought some so beware of your children spying!

How do cameras work, discover by making a pin hole camera, and then make sun print photos to capture the moment!

Be prepared to be contorted as children have fun playing with concave convex mirrors.

Shadow investigations.

Splitting colours by chromatography and making colours.

Make coins disappear and then reappear and lots more.
